SHOP // Summer Sale Haul

Saturday, 27 June 2015

When it comes to shopping, I am the polar opposite of an impulse buyer, often spending many days and weeks deliberating over any potential purchases. I also tend to avoid shopping in sales completely, since I can't handle the mad rush and disorganised rails. Despite this, I managed to pick up some great pieces in the summer sales this week. Since I knew what I wanted to buy, I didn't have to spend ages trawling through a chaotic mish-mash of fabrics and sizes. Here's what I bought...

Harrington Jacket // £65 now £30 // Topshop
This jacket is absolutely perfect. It's so clean looking and it definitely seems like it was bought somewhere a little more expensive. This was an online sale purchase since my local branch of Topshop doesn't seem to have a lot of the things I like in stock. I bought the jacket and matching trousers for £50 (£57 cheaper than it was originally!). I am a huge fan of wearing co-ord outfits and had been lusting over this particular one for a very long time. An absolute bargain. I can't wait to wear these with my chunky wooden heeled sandals for a cool 70s look.

Saddle Stitch Cigarette Trousers // £42 now £20 // Topshop
These are the matching trousers for the jacket above, with the exact same white stitch detail. They're very comfortable to wear and would also look really nice paired with a oversized white tee for a more casual look than the full suit. I also really like that this cigarette style is cropped too.

Striped Popper Front Cropped Tee // £16 now £8 // Topshop
I had tried this on in Topshop a couple of months ago whilst searching for something to wear to my best friend's birthday drinks, but had decided to go with a nice dress I'd seen instead. Very happy to see that it was now only half price in the sale. I'm a huge fan of bretons and striped tops in general, and this little one was too cute to miss.

Black Wrap Front Crop Top // £18 now £10 // River Island
This was probably the most impulsive buy, since I hadn't seen it in store previously. I had been looking to buy a wrap-around ballet-style top like this for a while, so I guess it wasn't too unexpected of me. I wore this out the other night with black high waisted jeans and heeled sandals - Feeling some "Sandy from Grease meets Black Swan" vibes, which can only ever really be a good thing.

What do you think of my summer sale haul? Did you manage to find any great bargains for yourself whilst out shopping recently? Let me know in the comments section below.
