Wolf Alice are a London-based four-piece whose music I have been following since late 2013. Needless to say, I'd been eagerly awaiting their debut album, 'My Love Is Cool', which was finally released today on the record label Dirty Hit.

Their sound is indie alt-rock, with a few 90s shoegaze and grunge influences thrown into the mix. Lead singer Ellie Rowsell's vocals are gorgeous and dreamy, with occasional punk-rock screaming - As a live act they are energetic and absolutely mesmerising. You might enjoy this album if you were a fan of Honeyblood's self-titled debut.

Hearing this record for the first time today was every bit worth the wait. It's an absolute joy of an album from start to finish. My favourite tracks from it are 'Your Loves Whore', 'Silk' and the new re-recorded version of their older single 'Fluffy'.

'My Love Is Cool' is now is available to purchase for download on iTunes or on both vinyl and CD from Dirty Hit - You can also have a listen right here on this blog using the Spotify widget below!
